CaldrionSubmit an opportunity

i.Internships

Learn principal investing by doing it.

01The work

A team, not a training class.

Interns join a team and contribute to what that team is working on while they’re here.

  • Join a live team

You’ll spend the internship on one team—an investment pillar, Operations or External Affairs—contributing to its live work rather than a stand-alone project.

  • Underwrite and research

On an investment team, you’ll build models, analyze markets and comparable transactions, and help prepare investment memos.

  • Join investment committee discussions

Investment interns typically sit in on committee discussions about the opportunities they’ve worked on, and see how decisions are made.

  • Present a capstone

At the end of the internship, you’ll present an analysis or an investment thesis to senior members of the firm.

  • Learn from a mentor

You’ll be paired with a mentor, typically from the investment team, who reviews your work and helps you get the most from the internship.

02Who we’re looking for

How you think matters more than what you study.

We look for penultimate- or final-year undergraduates and master’s students in any discipline. A previous finance internship helps but isn’t required. What we look for are early signs of the Caldrion DNA.

Analytical rigor

You’re comfortable with numbers, careful with detail and able to build a clear argument from incomplete information.

Curiosity

You want to know how businesses, markets and assets really work, and you read well beyond the syllabus.

Integrity

You’re candid about what you know and what you don’t, and you treat confidential information with discretion.

03Teams

05Next steps

After the internship.

An internship is the start of a relationship, not just a summer job.

Strong interns may receive an offer to return as a full-time analyst after graduating, depending on the needs of each team. If you’re completing a specialized master’s degree, you can also apply to our post-MBA and graduate Associate program.

And if the timing isn’t right, stay in touch. We hire opportunistically and welcome former interns back at later stages of their careers.

06FAQ

Internship questions.

More answers on our careers overview.

Are internships paid?

Yes. All Caldrion internships are paid.

Do I need to study finance or economics?

No. We welcome students from any discipline, including engineering, mathematics, computer science, the humanities and law, who can show analytical rigor and a genuine interest in investing.

Can I choose between New York and Sydney?

Tell us your preferred office in the application form, or choose “Either.” Where you’re placed depends on the team you join: most investment teams are in New York, while digital assets and Asia-Pacific work is led from Sydney.
